Savannah- Mr. John Henry Prince, Sr., 75, died Monday, September 1, 2008 at Hospice Savannah.
John was born in Tillman, SC but lived most of his life in Savannah. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. John owned John Prince Electric Company where he had many faithful clients. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of the Islands where he attended the Good Neighbor Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Prince and sisters, Dorothy Shelton and Evelyn Barrett.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Cook Prince of Savannah; sons, John Prince, Jr. Martha of Savannah and Clyde Prince of Atlanta; daughter, Kay Campbell Dr. Mitchell Campbell of Georgetown, IN; two step-daughters, Janet Wigley Joeyof Savannah and Joni Mock Steve of Brooklet; brother, Harry Prince, Jr. Jerri of Savannah; two sisters, Rebecca Brewer of Savannah and Jessie McTier of Macon; grandchildren, Roger Campbell, Julie Campbell, Dustin Prince and Branden Prince; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Wigley, Jackie Wigley, Kristin Mock, Rebekah Mock, Abigail Mock and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of the Islands with Reverend Brooks Cail officiating.
Burial: Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
